The good weather allows the visitors to enjoy Roquetas de Mar, Almeria, any time of the year. The temperature keeps mild along the year, and it does not descend to less than 8 degrees Celsius in the winter, or exceed 31 degrees Celsius in the summer.

When we talk about Almeria Spain, we must not only think of the city, but its whole province made up of small but very important towns: Roquetas de Mar, Mojacar, Tabernas and Carboneras.

Roquetas de Mar is an important city of Andalusia, population (2008): 77.423 persons, and is predominantly a Spanish holiday resort dedicated to tourism since 1964.

To access the main road in the region is the European Route E15-A7. Almeria airport is located to 25 minutes from Roquetas de Mar.

There are 18 kilometers of beaches for sports like volleyball, swimming, or to rest and relax, or enjoy with children or family. They are equipped with all services, coupled with a seafront promenade, where a walk or bike to do.

Those who are big lovers of the sea can practice diving with the company of a great variety of marine fauna, just in the coast where Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, and Romans lost their possessions in the numerous fights at "Portus Magnus", as the Romans named it.

There are several places where you can go to learn diving or even renting the equipment for it.

Aguadulce promenade

If you are looking for a place to dance, you can go to the marina where you will find lots of pubs with different kinds of rhythms, styles, and musical epochs.

Cabo de Gata

You are recommended to visit the cape of Gata Nijar (in Spanish "cabo de Gata Nijar"), declared nature reserve. It is a superb example of the beauty of the arid landscape: salt pans, dunes, and volcanic origin walls which form amazing range of colours cliffs.
